Retro Fruit Juice

Merge fruit up the ladder. A pixel-art puzzle for iPhone.

Swap two neighbouring fruit to line up three of a kind. They don't vanish: they merge into the next fruit up the ladder, from blueberries all the way to watermelon. Meanwhile rocks rise from the floor, and only a merge in their column washes them away. Let twelve pile up and the run is over. Runs are short, so there's always time for one more.

Merge, don't match

Three in a line become one better fruit, right where you swapped. Climb eight rungs to the melon.

Rot rises

Rocks grow up from the floor faster as the run goes on. Every merge washes one out of its column.

Fruit Frenzy

Make eight merging moves in a row for double points and no new rocks, until you miss.

How do I see the rules again?

Tap Juice under the board, then How to Play.

Why can't I move the rocks?

Rocks can't be swapped. Make a merge anywhere in a rock's column and the juice runs down and washes away the lowest rock there, one per column per move. Selecting a fruit outlines the rock its column would wash.

What is a Burst?

Watermelons are the top of the ladder, so they can't merge into anything. Line up three of them instead and they Burst for a big score, clearing space on the board.

Why did my Frenzy end early?

Frenzy lasts up to six moves, but a move that merges nothing ends it straight away. Rocks held back during Frenzy arrive one per move afterwards.

Where is my best score saved?

On your iPhone only. It isn't uploaded anywhere, so deleting the app removes it. It's included in your regular iPhone backups, so restoring a backup brings it back.

Can I turn the sound off?

The game follows your iPhone's silent switch, so silent mode mutes it.
